Marlon Gerber has been working on his Innersection part for months now and it's finally online for all to see.

WHAT IS INNERSECTION?

Innersection.tv is a user-generated and user-judged surf movie experiment created by Taylor Steele. Surfers work with a filmer and editor to create their own surf section, then upload it, and wait for the public to vote. The top 20 sections make it into the Innersection movie, with the winner receiving a $100,000 grand prize.

Anyone who signs onto the website can judge the contest. Users can rate the sections, write comments, talk trash…it all influences which sections make the final movie. Be sure to vote for your boy Marlon!

SIGN IN AND VOTE NOW!

Innersection: Round 1 of 4

Week 1 (March 1-7) - Surfers upload their sections to the site.

Week 2 (March 8-14) - Members sign in and rate the sections on a 1-10 scale. Top 10 finalists are determined.

Week 3 (March 15-21) - Members rank the top 10 in order of preference (1 thru 10).

Week 4 (March 22-28) - Winners announced.

The five highest rated surf sections will then become part of the Innersection surf movie. Surfers will have the rest of the year to improve their section before it goes on the final DVD. The final Innersection DVD will include the year's top 20 sections — five qualifiers from four rounds of competition.
