Coffin on Cake PR appointed to handle UK communication of the Rip Curl Pro Search 2009

Coffin on Cake PR are thrilled to announce they have been appointed by Rip Curl (Europe) to manage the UK communication of their international surf event the Rip Curl Pro Search 2009. The PR appointment will see Coffin on Cake aid Rip Curl Europe’s communication of one of the world’s leading and most unique surfing events as the Pro Search 2009 heads to Europe for the first time, with previous events taking place at locations in Reunion Island, Mexico, Chile and Indonesia.
Scheduled to be held from 19th to 30th October the event will be held in the surf rich area of Peniche, Portugal, at the world class wave known as Supertubos, and as stop 9 of 10 on the ASP Men's World Tour the Rip Curl Pro Search 2009 could possibly see the crowning of the 2009 men’s world champion.
The 2009 Rip Curl Pro Search will showcase the world’s finest male surfers, including Rip Curl’s former world champion Mick Fanning (AUS) and hot newcomer Owen Wright (AUS) alongside 9 x world champion Kelly Slater (US). In addition to the men’s contest the event will also include the world’s elite female surfers as it also hosts stop 5 of 8 for the ASP Women's World Tour, from 26th to 30th October, with Rip Curl riders including 2 x women’s world champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) and the only European surfer (women’s) invited as a wildcard to enter the event, 2008 ASP junior world champion, Pauline Ado (FR) looking to prove themselves in the challenging surf of Supertubos.
