At just 20 years old, Smith is the former Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) Junior World Champion and the 2007 ASP WQS men’s title-holder.

After the Globe Pro in Fiji, Smith is currently ranked 19th on the ASP Tour in his rookie year. Smith’s sponsors include Vestal, O’Neill, DVS & DaKine.
