The BLUE® Climate & Oceans Project welcomes Ben Skinner and Jose Luengo

Ben Skinner, one of the UK's most talented and accomplished surfers and Jose Luengo, one of the World's most talented kite-surfer's, have joined forces with The BLUE® Climate & Oceans Project.

Acting as ambassadors for The BLUE® Project, Ben and Jose will join a number of other world-class athletes from varying 'BLUE' sports to inspire and motivate individuals to reduce their impact on the world's climate and oceans.

Both are exceptional athletes and between them have racked up an incredible number of international championship titles including Ben winning Silver at the world surfing games and Jose being KPWT wave world champion for the last three consecutive years.

Sailing hero Conrad Humphreys, founder of The BLUE® Project, welcomed the new ambassadors saying "We're very proud to have both Ben and Jose onboard, their own experience and understanding of the ocean is second to none and their standing as sports people makes them ideal role models for inspiring young people across the world."

The BLUE® Project ambassadors come from a variety of sporting backgrounds and include, 180 Degrees manpower expedition team Rob Guantlett and James Hooper, Solo Pacific Ocean rower Roz Savage and previous European snowboard champion Dan Wakeham.

Upcoming BLUE® events include the Archipelago Raid in Scandinavia, Sara Campbell's world-record freedive attempts in Egypt later this month, and a BLUE exhibition at the House of Commons (London) where the UK's Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport (Andy Burnham) and the Secretary of State for the Environment (Hilary Benn) will meet with BLUE® ambassadors to discuss the possibilities of the project prior to the Marine Bill being announced.
