ATTENTION ALL GROMMETS!
The second stop of the 2010 Rip Curl GromSearch will be this Sunday, 18 April at Cimaja-West Java. Just a few hours drive from the capital city of Jakarta, the time is now get ready to have a fun Sunday surfing and competing with your friends at West Java’s best righthand cobblestone surf break.
There is no entry fee to pay, just show up and register at the beach on Sunday morning. You’ll get a free lunch, a T-shirt, and there are plenty of games and giveaways from Rip Curl and the other sponsors throughout the day.
The first and second place winners of the 16 and Under Division will receive Ticket’s to Bali to compete in the Grand Finals in October. The winner of the Grand Final will be representing Indonesia at the famous Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach contest in Australia next year. The battleground for the ticket to Australia will be set in the middle of the Rip Curl Surf and Music Festival 2010 from October 23-24.Rip Curl GromSearch 2010 will take you from your local beach to the world stage of pro surfing… We want to help you to bring your tropical surfing style of jungle rawness to the world stage of surfing at the “Rip Curl Pro”, Bells Beach, Australia.

The Rip Curl GromSearch series is all about giving male and female Groms the chance to surf with their friends in a fun environment. At the same time it gives grommets great competitive experience and allows selected winners to compete for a trip to the Rip Curl Pro Surf & Music Festival at Bells Beach, Australia in March next year.
GromSearch has seen some awesome talent, including past winners Stephanie Gilmore, Ben Dunn, Mason Ho, Matt Wilkinson, Jessi Miley-Dyer and Alana Blanchard along with Indonesian surfers Garut Widiartha and Oney Anwar.
