Transat Skipper Sam Davies and Conrad Humphreys Paint the Artemis Transat BLUE!

Sam Davies, skipper of Roxy the Open 60 race-yacht that is taking part in this year’s Artemis Transat race, and Conrad Humphreys who is the host city event organiser, are spending the week onboard the Tall Ship, The Earl of Pembroke, docked at Sutton Harbour talking to young people about the race, its conditions and how The BLUE Climate and Oceans Project inspires young people to care about the oceans.

The May Bank Holiday weekend, signalled the opening of the Artemis Transat race week, and the BLUE Project pulled more than 4,500 visitors to it’s Tall Ship, proving it to be a fantastic attraction in the Sutton Harbour race village. A number of volunteers have been delivering a fun-packed learning programme that includes themes around marine life and climate change.

The Artemis Transat starts on Sunday 11th May.
