Having a BLUE Whale of a time
Dame Ellen Macarthur unveiled acclaimed artist Wyland's BLUE Whale Mural at The National Marine Aquarium surrounded by The BLUE® Project's youngest 'champions for the environment'.
Acclaimed marine life artist and conservation advocate Wyland partnered with the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth to produce his 97th, and one of the last remaining murals in his internationally renowned Whaling Wall art project. Dame Ellen MacArthur and children from The BLUE® Climate and Oceans Project celebrated the occasion with Wyland infront of the impressive 150 square meter underwater scene. The mural covers the side of the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth and was created throughout the week to raise awareness about marine life conservation and global water issues.
The unveiling followed an incredible week of fun and inspiring activities themed around marine life and climate change on Plymouth's Barbican with The BLUE® Project and it’s founder Conrad Humphreys designed to inspire and motivate young people to become active in reducing their impact on the world’s climate and oceans.
