Rip Curl is stoked to host the Girls Go Surfing Day for the 7th time in Indonesia.
Imagine more than 300 frothing girls ready for surfing action, fun games and to party, taking over Double Six Beach for one day – watch out boys! The Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day program originated in Australia and has grown ever since. In Indonesia the program is now in its 7th year and is a huge event on the surfing calendar. It actively encourages female beginners and non-surfers to take part in customized ‘learn to surf’ lessons that get girls out in the water experiencing that unique feeling that only surfing provides. Rip Curl wants you to get stoked.
For sure, Rip Curl’s Girls Go Surfing Day is a whole day just for girls. Every female is invited and welcome to this unique event. For a small fee (IDR 120,000) girls will get lessons and gear at the Rip Curl School of Surf, a BBQ, fun games, a goodie bag and T-shirt; plus there will be music, beauty booths, photo shoots, a fashion show and a memorable after show party – Double Six Beach will be on fire!
The Coca Cola ISC (Indonesia Surfing Championship) Women's pro tour stop will also be part of the event. Watch the best Indonesian female surfer charging the waves at Double Six. This 1 star rated surfing comp adds the professional touch to the Girls Go Surfing Day and the surf rookies have the chance to mingle with the pros.
