'Good Enough to Eat'

Pull-in underwear's most coveted print is definitely their 'Fraises' style but this Summer it's their new season fruit prints that have been 'Good enough to Eat' according to some of our favorite titles.
We love last week's Metro 'Style Extra' featuring both the Banana mens 'Fashion' boxers and ladies Kiwi 'Moon' and 'Glam' styles stating 'be a style smoothie in this season's fruity fashion'. Wavelength also opted for the brilliant banana print while Gay Times favored Pull-in's swimwear line with the 'Juice' style board shorts ready to 'work your zest appeal'! All available from blackleaf.com now.

Lightning Bolt

During the Evolution of modern surfing a Hawaiian surfboard design distinguished itself as a symbol of excellence.
The seed of Lightning Bolt began in 1968 when Jack Shipley met Gerry Lopez while mutually shaping for Surfline Hawaii. As surfers they understood the demand for performance in their shape and design of their surfboards. with the advent of new materials, surfing took a quantum leap forward and Lightning bolt was the leader. Born in Hawaii, in the backyard shaping rooms, Lightning Bolt was a new standard for the shortboard revolution.

In the era of the early seventies surfing was growing up. Design was being driven by the challenges of the equipment, and as the process of manufacturing progressed, the opportunity for performance increased. Out of this spirit of adventure and innovation the early bolt team built its reputation for winning contests, covering magazines and being featured in almost every surf film of the time. As the years pass, the allure of the Lightning Bolt remains distinct and irreducible.

Thailand, Surf Grom - Panu Wisetsombat wins ISA Scholarship

The International Surfing Association (ISA) announced its annual scholarship winners on May 25, and TSM is stoked to tell you that local grom surfer Panu Wisetsombat (see our interview in Issue 5) was amongst the lucky winners!
Each year the ISA selects 25 young surfers from around the globe based on surfing and academic achievement and financial need. With the help of Surfing Thailand’s Chanin Aiyarak and TSM, Panu successfully submitted his application and handwritten essay and was chosen one of this year’s proud winners of a US$1,000 scholarship.

In addition to being a great kid and a good student, Panu has become an excellent surfer after just 3 years of enjoying the sport, taking home first place at the 2010 Rip Curl Grom Search event at Nai Harn Beach, Phuket.
“I feel really great to have received this honor” says an excited Panu, “and I want to thank Surfing Thailand and everyone else who helped me apply. I promise to keep improving my surfing and studies as best as I can!”
