I felt happy because I can apply all knowledge that I got in college, but sometime felt crazy because unexpected problems, Life.

Oh yaa, also the loveliest Hijabers Community. I've been learning many islamic values from this community, alhamdulillah. We valued and appreciated each other, we love to discuss many things, and always try to be a better muslimah, insya allah. I think most of you had seen these pictures, we discussed our launching and had interviewed by Republika.

What I wore:

Portrait Of A People

We love HUCK issue #024 as not only is it designed in collaboration with the inspirational David Carson but features this beautiful article - Portrait of A People, shot at the Rip Curl Pro Peniche. We were lucky enough to take the Huck team to Portugal for the WCT event to interview the locals and Rip Curl's Hanalei Reponty, and if you love the shoot styling then go to Ripcurl.com for all the products.

Stormy Weekend At East Coast

Looking at the forecast and update from the east coast, its gonna be another windy & stormy weekend.
Definately Cherating is a better bet. Waves gonna be head to overhead height throughout the east coast.
For those who are heading to Batu Buruk Beach this weekend, i will see you guys there. At the moment, M-Bay waves is not working due to wind. So the only bet in Kuala Terengganu is Batu Buruk or better still at Shipwreck. See u guys in d line-up....

Cheers, Big B

Alpinestars release ‘The HD’

Drawing from over 45 years of experience of leading the way with technologically advanced racing clothing for the world’s best and most competitive drivers, Alpinestars have turned their attention to the global boardshorts market and have released one of the most cutting edge boardshorts available.
Following meticulous research and design, and built in collaboration with World Tour surfer Nathaniel Curran (26), The A-Tech Series HD Boardshort is constructed in 8 Way Stretch ‘non-rashing’ Hydrophobic Fabric designed to offer maximum stretch, shed water fast and reduce weight and drag. The HD Boardshort features Alpinestars’ Sonic Welded Technology to create a seamless boardshort from the waistband down, with stretchable seams throughout its design and with Heat Sealed Reinforcements on stress points. To add additional comfort the HD Boardshort is built without inseams, includes a water sealed zip pocket and is designed with a Waffle-core rimmed waistband to keep the HD Boardshorts comfortably fitted on your waist. Commenting on the HD Boardshort, Alpinestars team rider Nathaniel Curran said, “Bringing Alpinestars motorsports technology into the new HD Boardshort has been insane”, he continued, “being a pro surfer and wearing them in all my heats and not ever having to worry about my trunks giving me a rash is great, I’m stoked to surf with them and I can’t wait until everyone else gets to try them.”
The HD Boardshort is available across Europe through Surfdome.com from February and to see Nathaniel Curran in action visit Alpinestars.com.

Waiting for the DSLR!!

It's been almost 3 years since my last good picture through the lens of surfing in Malaysia. It was unfortunate that almost every good moment of surfing in Malaysia wasn't captured and recorded much. My old DSLR was broken after 5 years in salt water and sandy beach and i havent bought any till today. The cost of DSLR is not cheap and we need time to actually keep money to buy a new one.
With small budget, recently i bought  a Canon S95 to capture moment of our surf trips.....unfortunately we couldnt take any surf pics much as this is just a point and shoot camera so not much zoom available.
If any of you out there who have any old SLR with long lens, willing to donate or any company out there willing to sponsors us a Digital SLR with long lens, i would be more than happy to capture all the good moment in future. Do email me at bryannys@gmail.com or call me directly at 019-3723535 if you wish to help us out. Sooner or later, it will belong to the Surfing Association. We are capturing the beauty of our waves in Malaysia and our surfing scene in Malaysia. Peace.!!!

Road Trip to M-Bay with TSC Surfing Crews

17th January - 20th January (5 days Journey to M-Bay)

Its gonna be about overhead swell on 17th Jan and i was looking forward to surf at M-Bay, Kuala Terengganu. It's been a while since i last surf this spot, so it's time to head up North East to hunt for the perfect right-hand waves.

My journey started from KL, hop on a bus to Kuala Terengganu directly. Normally there is few bus companies provide rides to Kuala Terengganu (S.P Bumi, Adik Beradik, Transnasional, etc etc) from Putra Bus Station, Kuala Lumpur. One way ticket to Kuala Terengganu will cost you about RM40. The journey will take a 6 hours directly from KL to K. Terengganu. I have no problems loading my 3 boards bag into the bottom luggage area. I was happy, finally the bus companies recognize our sport and surfing!!! Now, they know its a surfboard!!! YahOOoOOoo......

Sharp at 5am, i arrive at K.Terengganu bus station. It was a nice and comfortable sleep all the way and i'm still abit blur!!! I waited for a while before the Terengganu Surfing Crews arrive and pick me up.
It was me, Iddin, Gazi, Amar, Amir, Jan and Mamat doing the road trip together!!! We were all stoked!
Thanks alot guys to pick me up and my honor to do this trip with you guys!!
Half way through the journey, we stop by for the best breakfast at Kuala Terengganu. The infamous
Nasi Minyak, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Kerabu, Kuih Muihs for breakfast! It might not sound as healthy but it is hard to insist this type of food. They are simply delicious!!!
TSC Surf crews wif mamat having b'fast
Upon arrival at M-Bay, all our heart was pounding and can't wait to see how good the waves was....
Jeng jeng jeng!!! It was so windy!!! The wind simply mess up the waves but we were still so stoked. It's been a really a long time since i came and surf this spot. I would say about 5 years ago, so its good to be back!! After chilling out at the spot (with no surfing), we decided to head back to Batu Buruk beach to surf beach break!
Road to M-Bay heaven
First smell of M-Bay
Mamat on top of the world!
It was not too bad at Batu Buruk beach so we decided to surf!! It's abit rough but waves are overhead on every corner of the beach. Although it is rough, it was quite easy for us to access to the peak with the channel pulling us out directly. Waves after waves, i was pounded with Air Drop and wipe out after wipe out. Waves was really fast and each waves that I've choose is all fast Air Drop. I bet the all the TSC guys out on beach are actually laughing at how good is my wipe out sessions!!! Hahahahahahaha
We surf the whole day till we are tired!!! After dinner, the whole TSC surf crews joined by Ayen, Kit, Mood headed for KARAOKE sessions!!! After so much surf, we still have the strength to shout our lung out. It was fun!!!! Our crib for the nite was at Iddin's house! Thanks Iddin for the hospitality.
your Tok Wan is so so cute!!!
18th Jan suppose to be a better day as the wind start to drop and today some of the Cherating & KL crews will join us. We also have 3 newbies joining us to learn to surf at M-Bay. One of them are from Maldives and another 2 from K.Terengganu. Here we go, met up at Batu Buruk beach with Steven, Semmy, Am and Khalid....plus the 3 newbies. After greeting, we heads up M-Bay.

Stopover for breakfast
Everyone checking out the waves at M-Bay
The M-Bay crews......
Today, waves at M-Bay are getting better but waves still affected by wind. But this time, we are able to surf and we are keen to teach the 3 newbies how to surf. So everyone get ready and head to surf!!!!
It was me, Iddin and Mamat started to teach the newbies the essence of surfing. Basic rules and methods of surfing. Unfortunately, the rip was too strong, we have to delay our Learn to Surf in the water. So without wasting time, i head to surf as well!!! WoHHhhoOooOOoo!!!!
It was 2 hours later before Mamat went out and started the surfing lesson again. Yea, they were stunned by how surfing is all about and how our surfing lifestyle evolve.  The spirit of brotherhood!!! All of us share the same passion and love for surfing! Trying our best to introduce, promote, develop and unite surfing in Malaysia.
Lunch at Batu Buruk...Che Rasa terbaik!

The best Teh Tarik from Che Rasa!!! 4 inch foam!!
By 2pm, we headed back to Batu Buruk again to surf. This time, waves start to get better and without wasting time, all of us head in to surf!!! Surf till we drop by late evening. By nite, again we are all in for Karaoke!! Scream our heart out!! Later the nite, all 10 of us jammed pack into Iddin's house!! It was really comfortable and nice. Ice Cold Aircond with fan plus Astro as bonus!!!
Our crib for the nite!! We did our smack down in Iddin's room. Hahahahahah
19th January was the best day of the journey!! M-Bay was firing!! We arrive at 8:00am and i bet we were late! I can imagine how good the waves will be if we were in earlier. Without asking, all of us grab our boards and heads for surf. I was abit hesitated cos i wanted to take some pictures and video of the beautiful waves. It was overhead on set with perfect right-hander waves!!! Sorry guys, i just cant help myself and go in to surf instead. All the camera were in the car!! No one willing to be the camera man!!!!
Mamat enjoying his cold room in M-Bay!! Earlier was 2 x the size...jus imagine!!
Semmy try on his first backhand tube ride!! Awesome!!!
It was barrel's after barrel's and wipe out after wipe out, yet everyone is so so stoked! No wind with clean and glassy barrels. I remember the moment when i took on a overhead set, perfectly set into the barrels and just enjoy the room view from inside!! The feeling was awesome!! Front side barrel after so so long!!! It's always C-Bay that we usually get backhand barrels but this time something for a change!!! For Semmy and some of the goofy footer, they are all so stoked to actually practise their backhand on a perfect waves!!! The waves start to get smaller as the tide gets lower and we were only manage 2 hours before the waves get smaller at shoulder height! Then, finally someone decided to go in to take some video!! Thanks IDDIN!!! hehehehehehehehe
Semmy & Am cant wait to surf but breakfast dulu...at M-Bay
The ride with some crazy surfers!!!
By late afternoon again, we headed back to Batu Buruk to surf beach break!! Although it gets smaller but it was all fun at Batu Buruk beach as all the TSC surf crew came by and surf together. It was quite crowded at the beach...but with spectator!!! FUN FUN FUN!!!
Batu Buruk Beach view....
Main road and beach is smack right next to each other...
Mamat snap his board at M-Bay
I broke my fin plug while doing bottom turn??
By nite, it was time for us to visit Khairul and family. Khairul is one of the TSC surfer and he is the local surfer of (Belakang Sekolah Spot) near Marang. It was sad to hear that his dad was missing on Monday morning as their fishing boat sank while fishing. 2 members of the crew manage to float and swim back to shore after 8 hours since the boat sink. However, his dad didnt manage to reach to safety and he body was found after 2 days. All of us went to his house for prayers and we manage to collect some contributions and pass it to the family. Our condolences to Khairul and his family. To all the surf members who contributed, thank you!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Terengganu Surf Community Crews to actually spend time doing road trip and surfing together with us. Thank you Mahmood, Gazi, Amar, Amir, Ayen, Iddin, JC, Doje and others to accept us like brothers!! Steven, Semmy, Khalid, Am...im sure you feel the same and when is our next trip up to M-Bay? Looks like there is another swell next week
(26th January 2011). Are you guys up for it??? hehehehehehhhehehehe

Tribute to all our time together!! It was FUN!!!
