STOP KILLING THE SHARKS

So i am not sure if you people know about the shark murders that take place in the oceans of the Earth?

An estimated 200 million sharks die every year due to being hunted, caught and fining activities.
100 million sharks are killed for their fins only, so that pretty much means that about 250000 sharks die a day.

Sharks are finned... this is a practise of hacking off the shark's fins using a hot metal blade, the shark is then thrown back into the water ....ALIVE

So without fins the shark cannot move, thus resulting in a painful painful death due to stress and starvation or been eaten alive by other fish.

So why are sharks finned?

Fining is practiced due to the high demand for fins for the shark fin soup which has been touted as the most impressive and exotic delicacy, especially in the East.
I heard that the fins don't even add any taste to this soup, they add chicken stock to give it taste and the fins have no nutritional value whats so ever.

Growing up with a lot of my time spent in the shark infested Indian ocean of South Africa i have seen and been pretty close to sharks, they are beautiful animals and people need to get it out of their pips that sharks aren't the big killers that they are cracked up to be.

A persons chance of getting attacked by a shark is 1 in 11.5 million and a persons chance of being killed is less than 1 in 264.1 million.

Sharks are not the threat ......Humans are!!!!

Long live the SHARKS!
