This beautiful and one-of-kind Mitchell Rae Outer Island board will be auctioned off starting at 12 midday, Friday the 13th August Bali/Singapore time.

Background:

Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI) is proud to support the rebuilding of Padang Padang’s favorite Mexican Restaurant, the Sunset Grill, owned and operated by the charismatic big wave charger Cacho Izquierdo, through the auctioning off of a custom Outer Island, hand shaped masterpiece from Mitchell Rae.

Partnering with one of Indonesia’s surfing pioneers, Steve Palmer (Picture here with Cacho and ‘the board’), CCAI were able to commission Mitchell Rae from Outer Islands Surfboards to craft a magnificent wave riding tool. Words don’t do this surfboard justice. it’s a true Indonesian speed machine flextail 8” 19 3/8, 2 13/16 with striking spray work depicting a ‘phoenix rising from the ashes’ amongst a classic Padang Padang barrel wrapping around the deck to the bottom of the board.

The heart and soul invested by Mitchell to craft such an awesome board reflects the entire surf communities effort from Bali and beyond to help Cacho rebuild his Restaurant and charge on with life – maybe a humble gift from Huey!

All proceeds from the sale of the board will be provided to Cacho’s project to rebuild the Sunset Grill Restaurant. The staff and Cacho are obviously stoked to get this support from Coke, Steve and with your assistance, provided through the purchase of this board, it will get them all back working and providing great food and drinks to hungry surfers that visit the Bukit area of Bali.
