Meet the stylist muslimah
I felt honoured as a muslimah when I saw all of my sisters in this gathering. In my point of view, muslimahs also can be stylist, just don't be afraid that you'll left behind fashion things when you wear hijab. As you can see at picture below, the initiator of this event : Fifi Alvianto (Hijab Scarf), Ria Miranda (Shabby Chic), Hanna Faridl (Hijab Scarf), also Dian Pelangi (The Merchant Daughter). They looked fashionable over their hijab! You just can wear your maxi dress for feminime looks, or wear pleated pant for chic looks. We have various style in mix & match for hijab, just don't be afraid, Alhamdulillah.

First Ever Indonesian to Claim an ASP Pro Junior Event
GO GO GO ONEY ANWAR!!! CONGRATS!!!
SYDNEY, Australia - Indonesia’s, Gold Coast/Palm Beach based Hairil “Oney” Anwar sent out a loud and clear message to the surfing world that the Indonesian’s will be a power in professional surfing by becoming the first ever Indonesian surfer to win a major Association of Surfing Professionals Pro Junior surfing event when he won the Dripping Wet Pro Junior at South Curl Curl Beach on Sydney’s northern beaches today.
An ecstatic Onwar commented on his historic performance today saying “it feels fantastic to win – this is my first time winning and im stoked – I’m going to be doing more pro junior events in the next couple of years and it’s awesome to be the first Indonesian surfer to win a Pro Junior event”
The day was highlighted by aerial performances – more successful aerial moves than ever before seen at a pro junior event in Australia according to ASP Australasia Tour Director Dane Jordan and included an amazing tally of 11 aerial moves in the four man final.
Onwar has been based on the Gold Coast studying for the past three years and second in today’s final was fellow Gold Coaster Thomas Woods.
Woods set the scene for today’s remarkable performances scoring a perfect 10 point ride in an earlier heat when he executed a full rotation 360 degree air reverse.
Third in today’s final completed the Gold Coast trio with Mitch Crews – all places posting outstanding final tallies on their top two scoring rides of above 16 points with Onwar on 17.75, Woods 16.50 and Crews on 16 while local Freshwater Beach surfer Tommy Myers came in fourth in the final with a modest final performance on 11.15.
Newport surfer Chris Salisbury made the semi-finals but saw his year-long goal of qualifying for the ASP World Junior events disappear when he placed 4th in that semi final to be eliminated.
The Dripping Wet Pro Junior final day was a spectacle, one of if not the best day in ASP Australasian Pro Junior surfing history and the performances of these fast emerging surfers again stamped the future of high performance surfing which is taking to the air and scoring big for surfing’s highest degree of difficulty aerial moves.
Today wraps up the ASP Australasian Pro Junior season 2010 with the Dripping Wet Pro Junior and the Blue Kiss Pro Junior the final events of a hugely successful season.
Winners of the ASP Men’s and Women’s series ratings for 2010 are Mitch Crews (Qld) and Airini Mason (NSW) respectively and both join a very prestigious list of former winners who have used their series win as part of a launching pad to even greater heights in ASP careers.
The ASP Australasian region qualifiers of the upcoming ASP World Championship Junior Series which begins with event one in October are:

Rote Open 2010 Presented by Billabong Set for September 13-20 with Huge $20,000 Prize Purse
3 August 2010, Kuta-Bali: The Government of Rote Ndao is delighted to announce Billabong Indonesia as the presenting sponsor of the Rote Open 2010, a 6-Star Prime Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship sanctioned surfing event that will take place from September 13-20 on the Eastern Indonesian island of Rote. Boasting a huge prize purse of $20,000 USD spread over 5 divisions of competition (Open, Master, Women’s, International and Local-Rote), this event will attract the top surfers from Indonesia and beyond to the world class waves of the natural and idyllic island of Rote.
Billabong Indonesia’s Marketing Manager Tim Hawken was delighted with the opportunity to come on board as the presenting sponsor of the event after its inaugural success last year, stating, “Billabong is very stoked to be part of the Rote Open. The wave there at Boa is an untapped gem! We love the spirit of adventure this place offers and look forward to seeing some of the best surfers in Indo and beyond getting the chance to compete there. It's not just a surfing event, it's a cultural experience as well."
Billabong will be extending special invitations to their team of international surfers for the Rote Open 2010.
The winner of the Rote Open International Division will pocket $3,000 and the runner up $2,000. In the ISC Open Division the winner will bring home $2,750 USD and the runner up $1,275 USD as well as gain valuable ISC Championship points.
Last year’s Rote Open winner Garut Widiarta from Bali is excited to be going back to defend his title, saying in true surfer fashion, “That place is sick man… a totally cool place and so different compared to Bali. I loved the coconut trees and the really beautiful white sand beach. Very mellow and nice people there too … I had such a great time there last year. The righthander there at Boa was smoking, from glassy to windy it was always good, a long wave just like Snapper Rock in Australia. I can hardly wait to go back there for sure!”
Last year, Widiarta and fellow Bali pro Marlon Gerber battled it out in an exciting duel at the scenic reef break of Boa to the delight of hundreds of spectators on the beach, with Widiarta taking home Rp 20 million in prize money and 3,500 ISC Championship points. Widiarta ended the 2009 ISC Tour season in the number two spot in the rankings.
New this year is the addition of an International division where foreign surfers will compete against the top 16 finalists from the ISC Open Division for almost $10,000 in prize money. After observing the amazing skills of the Indonesian surfers last year, the Honorable Regent of Rote Leonard Haning has upped the ante in appreciation of the surfer’s skill and dedication, doubling the prize money of last year and adding the International division.
According to Mr. Amos Lillo from Tresna Travel, the event organizer for the Rote Open 2010, “Regent Haning was so impressed with the success of last years event that he increased the prize money budget twofold, not purely for promotional purposes but because he saw how dedicated and committed these athletes are to their surfing. He decided the best way to help was with this ‘creative economy” of rewarding them well in their job as professional surfers.”
Lillo went on to say, “Regent Haning has the vision to make Rote an attractive and inspiring tourism destination, and having international surfing events here each year is a great way show off its world class waves, beautiful beaches, clean water, and its unique culture.”
Rote Island is part of the regency of Kupang, with Kupang being also the name of the capital city of island of Timor, the southernmost island in the Indonesian archipelago. The city of Kupang is just 1.5 hours by plane from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport and there are several flights each day between the two destinations.
The island of Rote itself is approximately 1,200 square kilometers with a population of just over 100,000. The main town in Rote is named Ba’a, which is the hub for commerce and transportation on the island. Daily ferryboats to and from Kupang are the standard form of transportation for both tourists and locals alike.
A special event package has been created by Tresna Tours in order to provide optimum transportation and accommodation services for the event at $350 USD, which includes airfare/transportation to and from Bali, lodging, meals, and the entry fee for the competition. Participants will leave from Bali on the 13th of September, flying to the city of Kupang in West Timor and then traveling by boat to Rote, then returning to Bali on the 20th. Non-surfers and not-competition surfers who just want to experience Rote and its environs are also encouraged to take advantage of this special travel package.
The Rote Open 2010 will also act as a tourism promotion event, showing off not only the great waves but also the exquisite beauty of the island. During the five days of competition there will also be various local programs staged to allow the participants experience more of the culture, meet the local people, and tour several of the many scenic spots around the island.
The Rote Open 2010 presented by Billabong is sponsored/suppported by the Government of Rote Ndao, Trensa Tours, Bank NTT, Kementrian Pariwisata RI, Visit Indonesia Year 2010, TransNusa Airlines, Susi Air, Garuda Indonesia, Batavia Air, Nusantara (NAC), Bintang Flores, JayaKarta, BlueDragon, the Coca-Cola ISC Tour, Surfersvillage.com, Lines Magazine, SurfTime Magazine, Magic Wave Surf Community Newspaper, TransTV, and MetroTV.
The Rote Open 2010 is sanctioned by the Coca-Cola Indonesian Surfing Championship Tour.

HBD Papa!
18-08-2010
Happy birthday for my Papa. This year is your retirement period. I hope you will be enjoy your time at home, do sport even more, also ruin small business. I wish you always happy & healthy. Amin Ya Rabb.
We celebrated it at Blue Erawan, Menteng. If you see the building outside, you will see a unique Thailand house. And when I walked in, I felt like I was in Thailand. I think this is the best Thai Restaurant in here. Great taste, cozy place, and the waitresses were friendly, the said "Sawadee" to greet us. The chief also gave a compliment for my mother because she dropped of the dessert.
Hats off...
