Rip Curl Girls Go Surfing Day 2010

Bali, Indonesia – Calling all girls!! The hottest all-girls surfing event of the year is only a few days away. Rip Curl's “Girls Go Surfing Day” is an annual event dedicated to introducing girls to surfing for the first time and giving young women surfers the chance to hang out and have fun together on the beach on one special day. It also gives experienced girl surfers the opportunity to compete in a sanctioned Indonesian Surfing Championship event.
The event has been a huge success for over six years and will take place at Double Six Beach in Bali on Sunday June 27th, 2010.

Girls hailing from Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore entered the “Our Summer Holiday” competition on the Rip Curl Asia Facebook page. The rules were simple: Upload your favorite picture of you and a girlfriend in the theme of “My Favorite Summer Holiday.”

After one month of competition, we've found our winners! Two from Thailand, two from Singapore and two from Malaysia. The winners receive a free trip for them and their best friend to attend Girls Go Surfing Day in Bali for three days and two nights. All the girls will be coming to Bali for an unforgettable holiday. In addition to the top-notch surfing instruction they will receive from the Rip Curl School of Surf, they will also get to see a Kecak dance performance, visit historical sites in Bali, and be given a tour of Rip Curl headquarters on Sunset Road where they can pick out a free outfit from the new summer collection.
But it's not just our Facebook contest winners who are invited to attend Girls Go Surfing Day. All girls of any age are welcome to participate. For only Rp. 120.000 you get access to everything at the beach festival: top-notch lessons from the Rip Curl School of Surf, a beach BBQ lunch, sunset DJ party, goodie bags packed with sponsor product, event T-Shirt, access to the Beauty Booth, and more!
